INSTALLATION

Note:
Unlike the N900, the N9/50 requires some things from the firmware FIASCO image.
Therefore, to flash this kernel, you'll need to obtain a PR1.3 ROOTFS FIASCO image for your currently installed firmware.

Also, since you're entering Open Mode, you will need to disable your lock code before flashing.

I would appreciate dmesg logs you get while running this.
Bug reports are welcome too!

Usual warnings:
Flashing a non-Nokia kernel puts your device into Open Mode. If you aren't yet in Open Mode, I recommend running

disclaimer-cal remove View-openmode

in a devel-su terminal to avoid having to view the Nokia warranty disclaimer at bootup.

You will have to do a complete (eMMC+rootfs) reflash to exit Open Mode.

INSTALLATION DIRECTIONS
I'll tell you right now that install.sh inside the archive does not work.
Don't use it.

PART 1: ON THE DEVICE
1. On the device, untar the kernel in your
/home/user directory

2. As root, copy the modules.

 # cp -a lib/modules/2.6.32.59-plus /lib/modules/2.6.32.59-plus

3. Change the current modules symlink.

 # rm /lib/modules/current && ln -s /lib/modules/2.6.32.59-plus /lib/modules/current

PART 2: ON A PC WITH FLASHER 3.12.1 INSTALLED
4. Power off your device, and get Flasher on a PC ready.
5. In a command prompt/terminal, run this command:

flasher -a DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.21-3_PR_LEGACY_001-OEM1-958_ARM.bin -k  vmlinuz-2.6.32.59-plus --flash-only=kernel --suppress-warranty-warning -f -R

6. You're now running the new kernel.
